Tempest Freerunning Team Members Jesse La Flair and Cory DeMeyers Return Home After Their 15-City Off The Edge Tour
(PRWEB) May 15, 2015 -- Jesse La Flair and Cory DeMeyers may be more familiar names to the average Youtuber and freerunning enthusiast, but after completing their two month long journey criss-crossing North America in their distinctive 35 foot RV, they may be one step closer to becoming household names. From Miami to Vancouver, the duo of Los Angeles based professional athletes/stuntman, preached their passion for parkour and freerunning while promoting their Kickstarter funded documentary, “From Here to There”, which documents their journey to the 2013 Red Bull world championships of freerunning in Santorini, Greece.
This Saturday May 16th, their tour will come to an end with one final celebration in Los Angeles — their home town — and the place where it all started. This is the city that inspired these two young men to become who they are today. It was in the City of Angels that they sought out Tempest Freerunning and their Academy after they had seen and heard so much about them online. It was surrounded and supported by their team and friends that they were able to develop and flourish as as some of the most recognized parkour and freerunning athletes in the world. And it is from this city that they decided to launch their Off the Edge tour which has taken them from Stockholm to Barcelona and Miami to Vancouver — on two continents, over 10 countries and more than two dozen cities.
“This has been an incredible adventure. Parkour and freerunning are bigger than ever and growing,” explains La Flair. “It will be nice to be home, but not for long. I am sure we will be back on the road before long. And we cannot wait to celebrate with all our Tempest Teammates, students, friends and of course to see my wife who has been an integral part of this entire adventure.”
Festivities will begin with a huge special jam on Saturday May 16th with DeMeyers, La Flair and the Tempest crew at Tempest Academy South Bay from 1pm tp 5pm (3337 Jack Northrop Ave, Hawthorne, California 90250 (Ages 9 years old & up can participate, $30 entry fee for #FH2TDoc movie ticket holders, $50 entry without movie ticket).
