TEquipment.NET Donates Test Equipment to Voice of America
Long Branch, NJ (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- The National Voice of America (VOA) Museum’s STEM outreach initiative is being supported by TEquipment.NET, a test and measurement distributor held by Interworld Highway, LLC. TEquipment.NET is one of several divisions of Interworld Highway, LLC. They are a leading authorized distributor of major brands of test equipment, interactive whiteboards, document cameras, and educational technology products. Interworld Highway, LLC has had a relationship within the educational marketplace since 1969. The National Voice of America Musuem of Broadcasting is a non profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
TEquipment.NET will donate a digital storage oscilloscope and a function generator to the Voice of America Museum STEM Outreach Initiative that partners with the K-12 educational community. This donated equipment will provide hands on experience for students to inform them about the technology used in this initiative such as magnetism, electricity, and wave theory. The equipment that was being used previously can no longer be used due to technological advances in the test equipment industry. Evan Cirelli, a founder of Tequipment.NET, said. " I wanted to give back to a program that helped inspire me to get into electrical engineering. I think what the VOA is doing is really needed to inspire kids to get into electronics. I am happy that my company can contribute to this cause."
The VOA Museum has previously been supported by other companies such as LG Electronics, Intel, and GE Electric. The STEM education program focuses on both preparation and inspiration throughout this program for K-12 students. The VOA believes that the success of the United States in the 21st century will "depend on the ideas and skills of its population". TEquipment.NET will be donating a Rigol DS1054Z Digital Oscilloscope and a Rigol DG1022A Generator from Rigol Technologies. Both the oscilloscope and function generator are two of the company's best sellers.
TEquipment.NET is now a confirmed supporter of the VOA initiative. The equipment that will be donated is going to be passed along to other organizers of this research presentation. The VOA Museum will continue to form their mission by partnering with the K-12 educational community and supporters of the program.
Tequipment.NET has also recently announced a new scholarship program based on volunteerism. This scholarship is awarded once a year with an application deadline of September 30, 2015 this year. This scholarship is open to all college students and high school seniors.
