Texas Archery Champion Mars Attends Hunger Games Catching Fire Premiere to Support Jennifer Lawrence, Debuts Alliance of International Archers
Grapevine, Texas (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- On Wednesday November 20th 2013, local archer and nine time award winner Mars, glistened at the Texas premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. A charity event benefiting the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Mars was asked to address the audience prior to the film sharing her vast knowledge of archery, insider facts on archery in film as well as her training relationship with Khatuna Lorig, the same trainer to Jennifer Lawrence for the three-installment cinema masterpiece.
With nothing but glowing remarks to be said about Lawrence, Mars post-film stated, "It's important to support fellow archers, Hollywood status or not, and I do what I can to support everyone with an interest in this magnificent yet competitive art form. Lawrence [Jennifer] showed great enthusiasm and dedication when training with Lorig [Khatuna], I have nothing buy sincere admiration for her performance. I feel strongly she has made the archery community very proud."
Mars also used the speaking platform to surprise and delight the audience with the announcement of the 2014 debut of her philanthropic vision, The Alliance of International Archers. According to Mars, "The Alliance will offer a multi-dimensional field of study and philosophical exploration for those who wish to immerse themselves in the world of archery. Currently in negotiations, The Alliance will have a global reach and impact the lives of those wishing to expand mentally, physically and spiritually along the lines of this beautifully competitive sport."
With a beyond riled audience before the film began and numerous occasions in which the film's audio was drowned out by theater-wide clapping and cheering, charity organizers reported, "Due to the overwhelming response to the whole event, the giant Hunger Games logo [hand crafted by local artisans and donated to the event as part of the VIP picture locale] was unfortunately removed and stolen by overzealous fans approximately three-quarters through the film".
