Texas Auctioneer Awarded for Lifetime Achievement
Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 11, 2014 -- Scott Swenson of United Country Jones-Swenson Auction Marketing, Inc. based in Austin, Texas was recognized for lifetime achievement in the auction profession by being inducted into the Texas Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame at its recent Texas Auctioneers Annual Conference.

Swenson has served as a professional auctioneer since 1983 and holds the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation, the highest professional designation for auctioneers. Swenson also holds the GPPA (Graduate, Personal Property Appraiser) appraisal designation, specializing in business assets and industrial equipment. Swenson was named Texas State Champion Auctioneer in 1992 and is a four-time finalist in the International Auctioneer Championship. Swenson served on the board of both the Texas and National Auctioneers Associations and was elected President of the Texas Auctioneers Association in 2010.
