Texas Health Care Association Names Brookshire Nurse as “Nurse of the Year”
Katy, TX (PRWEB) November 09, 2014 -- Brookshire Residence and Rehabilitation Center is pleased to announce that Phaedria Danmola has been presented with the 2014 Facility Nurse of the Year Award by the Texas Health Care Association (THCA) at their 2014 Annual Conference held in Dallas.
The Facility Nurse of the Year Award is given every year to recognize outstanding nurses working in long term care facilities. Recipients are selected based on their innovative approach in dealing with resident and staff issues, and in their compassionate delivery of nursing care in the long term care setting. Nominees have shown a dedication to continued professional growth in the long term care nursing field.
Phaedria Danmola manages the advanced wound care treatment program at Brookshire. Phaedria's dedication and care have been an integral part of the program’s successful track record in healing and decreasing resident wounds. Phaedria is consistently eager to implement new technologies and treatment methods that help improve patient care and outcomes. Phaedria is also Brookshire's staffing coordinator for the nursing department.
Trish Laird, Administrator of Brookshire Residence, says, “Phaedria is incredibly dedicated and talented, with an amazing drive and determination to help others. If I had 10 Phaedria's, I wouldn’t need anyone else.”
