Texas Yoga Conference Organizer Launches Altruistic Fundraiser on the Indiegogo Website
Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Jennifer Buergermeister, MA, DD, C Ht, ERYT, a yoga activist, founder of the Texas Yoga Association and self-described “Facilitator of Change” has just announced the launch of a fundraiser on the Indiegogo website that will help raise money to hold the 5th Annual Texas Yoga Conference that is designed to promote wellness.
Buergermeister is also the CEO of Breathe the Cure, Inc., a Texas 501(c) (3) which helps facilitate programs for the community including Jennyoga and the Texas Yoga Conference.
The new fundraiser, which Buergermeister has named “Texas Yoga Conference Breathes the Cure for Charities,” is about much more than raising money for her own conference. Instead, she has a very altruistic goal in mind. Breathe the Cure will keep just 50 percent of the proceeds raised to help facilitate the annual yoga conference and its other programs, and then it will donate the other half of the money to the organization’s 2014 participating non-profits. The funds will be divided up equally and given to groups including Hope Stone, Boys and Girls Country, Everlutionary, Expedition Balance, Friends of Integrative Medicine at MDACC, Crohns and Colitis, In-Powered by One Significant Act, and others.
“I am currently studying at Rice University in the prestigious LINE Program, Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership,” Buergermeister wrote in the article that accompanies her fundraiser on Indiegogo, adding that this campaign is part of her graduating project to raise money for Breathe the Cure and its participating philanthropists at the Texas Yoga Conference in 2014.
“This grassroots campaign is extremely important. It brings community together to share what is integrative, authentic and life-changing. Our conference creates a unique experience and transforms lives supporting our locals - from Texas, for Texas, and because of Texas.”
Anybody who would like to learn more about Buergermeister’s fundraiser is welcome to visit the Indiegogo website at any time; there, they can read about Breathe the Cure, Buergermeister’s passion for helping other non-profits, and how donors will be rewarded for their contributions.
