Tey Por Yee and Gomif’s team of E-Commerce Socialpreneurs Sponsor Deserving Students in Rural Kenya
New York (PRWEB) July 24, 2017 -- Gomif’s team of E-Commerce socialpreneurs will focus on opening markets for small businesses and encouraging the culture of enterprise in Africa. Socialpreneurship activist Tey Por Yee sponsored deserving students in rural Kenya, as part of socialpreneurship social responsible program.
The student sponsorship program provides funds for deserving students who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend secondary school. Sponsorships give more than money, they give hope.
Many bright and eager students in the rural villages of Kenya have qualified to attend secondary school but are unable to do so because they and their families cannot afford the school fees. Without the necessary financial resources, these intelligent and hard working students would languish in their villages, devoid of hope for a chance to escape the cycle of poverty that persists in rural Kenya.
The sponsorship program has sponsored students in rural Kenya for ten years, supporting over 300 students. The program board of directors reviews applications from qualifying students and grants sponsorships for the students with the greatest need and potential. With financial support, students are ready to conquer every challenge that comes their way. Socialpreneurs financial assistance opens doors for these students to change the future for them, their families, and their villages.
Angel investor & socialpreneurship activist Tey Por Yee, together with Gomif Partners, is launching the Accelerator17 2.0, a seed capital investment program for socially responsible businesses. The first part of the program shall start with road show from New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, and ends in Singapore.
