Thankgsgiving Gratitude Craft Has Been Released on Kids Activities Blog
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) October 31, 2013 -- Learn to be thankful! Teaching kids the importance of gratitude this Thanksgiving is easy with a great Thanksgiving craft released on Kids Activities Blog. The craft and a gallery of toddler play ideas teach kids important live lessons while having a blast.
Thanksgiving is one of the most significant celebrations. Thanksgiving teaches about expressing the gratitude towards someone or something that one is really thankful for in their life. It teaches kids about the small things that are significant in his or her life.
Making a gratitude tree to count the blessings is one of the fun ways to learn this season. Materials needed are double shaded craft paper, some string, a few branches or twigs, a vase, a marker, and a small collection of rocks to make a base for the tree.
Cut out the paper into leaf shapes. Hole punch one side and tie a piece of string to it. Put the rocks in the vase and stick the tree branches in them to build a tree. Talk to the kids about things that they are thankful for and write it on the leaves. If the kids are too young write it for them or let them draw a picture of it. Finally, tie the leaves on the branches.
The Thanksgiving tree craft makes a great centerpiece for the Thanksgiving dinner. It will help to keep the focus on the meaning of the holiday.
The toddler activity is simple to set up. It teaches spatial awareness and so much more. Materials needed are a piece of paper and a variety of catalogues and magazines. Simply cut out pictures about items that can be found inside the house. The items range from chairs, to pillows, to sinks, towels, books, toys, plates, and food.
Divide the paper into different rooms. Possible rooms include bathroom, living room, and kitchen. Let the child match each picture with the correct room. Depending on the child's age, use more trickier areas such as foyer or dining room.
