Thanks Again® Celebrates Successful Launch of Beacon-Enabled Smartphone App at Burbank Bob Hope Airport
Burbank, California (PRWEB) March 14, 2016 -- Thanks Again®, an airport consumer loyalty program, celebrated the official launch of a beacon-enabled smartphone app at Burbank Bob Hope Airport last week with an inaugural ribbon cutting and celebration. There was also a short video developed to demonstrate this new technology. The availability of the new app gives Burbank Bob Hope Airport the distinction of being one of the first "smart airports" in the nation.
Thanks Again® teamed up with Comarch Inc., a global technology firm that specializes in the design, implementation and integration of advanced IT services and software, to create the app, which was introduced to the public during the event. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons are used to improve in-store shopping experiences by enabling users to receive targeted offerings based on current location and proximity to airport stores and restaurants. The newly launched Thanks Again app will provide travelers and visitors of Burbank Bob Hope Airport with special offers and promotions through notifications on Android and IOS devices.
