The 6th Annual Diamond in the Raw Action Icon Awards Honors Gabby Douglas, Maggie Q, Hollywood Stuntwomen and Others
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 15, 2013 -- The 6th Annual Diamond in the RAW-Action Icon Awards (http://www.actioniconawards.com) returns again this year to celebrate action-oriented stunt women, extreme sports enthusiasts and A-list talent in Hollywood, while simultaneously preparing the next generation of teen girls for success.
Kick off date and time is 11 a.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 North Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90049.
The theme is "I Am Woman."
Honorees this year include Olympic Gold Medalist Gabrielle Douglas – The Dare2BDifferent Award, “Mission Impossible III” and “Nikita” Actress Maggie Q – The Action Icon Award, Boni Yanagisawa – Diamond in the Raw Award, Marian Green – The Helen Gibson Award, Tammie Baird, The Special Achievement Award and Lauren Faust – The Action Animation Award.
Jason George of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” is the Co-Host.
In other Diamond in the Raw News, distinguished “Sparkle,” “Cheetah Girls,” and “Princess Diaries” Producer Debra Martin-Chase will be the guest speaker at the 2013 Stunt Coordinating Seminar Wednesday November 6, 2013.

The Diamond in the Raw Foundation is a California 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization devoted to empowering and transforming the lives of foster care and at-risk teen girls between the ages of 12-18.
Lauded as one of Hollywood’s top social events of the year, the Awards Luncheon includes Red Carpet Arrivals, a silent auction and retrospective action-oriented footage of the biggest stunts ever achieved by women. It also honors the Stuntwoman of the Year.
