The Addiction Treatment Helpline Celebrates 6- Month Anniversary
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- Addiction Treatment Helpline, a complete resource and database of important information for those seeking help with drug addiction and substance abuse issues, celebrated its first successful six month milestone this week. Since opening the helpline in April of this year, helpline professionals have responded to a substantial number of phone calls and website inquiries helping to guide individuals to the resources they are in need of.
The Addiction Treatment Helpline was developed with a mission centered on providing immediate help for those who visit the site or call in on the toll free number. ATH is dedicated to assisting individuals who are seeking comprehensive information about addiction and substance abuse, treatment and rehabilitation centers and signs of substance abuse. The primary goal is to be the most reliable source of information for those who are living with the terrible ordeal of addiction. This includes not only individuals who are addicted or are abusing drugs and alcohol, but also those family, friends and co-workers who are impacted by the disease.
When the Addiction Treatment Helpline began offering its services in April it was staffed with just three individuals. Since the organization’s inception, a short six months ago, they have doubled that number with four addiction resource professionals now taking incoming calls and answering inquiries from the website. “There are a tremendous amount of people who are in need of the resources we are offering,” says ATH founder. “It is truly a blessing knowing that with each phone call to our help line and visit to the website we are providing someone, or someone that person cares about, with assistance to get well”.
The heartache, pain and sorrow caused by drug and alcohol abuse is nothing new to the people working at Addiction Treatment Helpline. Most of the organization’s staff has been faced with similar suffering and it is now their passion to help others dealing with the same affliction. They have firsthand experiences with the extreme horrors addiction can cause. The goal of Addiction Treatment Helpline is to help recovery reach as many people in need as possible.
The Addiction Treatment Helpline has locations in both Boston and Philadelphia. The team has a primary focus in New England and the Mid- Atlantic states.
