The Alliance of Independent Authors offers full Book Expo America schedule for Self-publishers
London (PRWEB UK) 20 May 2014 -- The Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) announced their expanded Book Expo America programme today.
ALLi’s BEA programme kicks off with a pre-Expo reading. ALLi director Orna Ross will appear alongside Hugh Howey for the Indie Authors Naked launch event on Tuesday May 27th, 7pm at Entwine Wine Bar NYC.
A joint publication from Authors Unbound and IndieReader, Indie Authors Naked is a compendium that defines and explores the world of indie publishing. Ross will be joining editor Loren Kleinman, sponsors IndieReader and Authors Unbound, other contributors to the book, and lots of indie authors for a special night of readings and talks, with Ross reading from her bestselling book, After the Rising.
ALLi will maintain a constant presence at Book Expo America, with a table in the Author Hub area, a dedicated zone for authors, offering expert advice for their members and visitors to the fair, with a series of talks and launches alongside.
On Friday, May 30th, Orna Ross will discuss the benefits of member organisations in a specially curated Author Hub programme, devised by Porter Anderson. Ross will detail how associations such as ALLi can really add value for their members, and why authors should consider joining forces, particularly in the world of self-publishing.
Friday will also see ALLi unveil the 2014 edition of their Choosing A Self Publishing Service 2014 guidebook. The launch of the book will coincide with ALLi’s top self-publishing service award for 2014, again in the Author Hub.
Saturday, May 31st is the uPublishU conference, where ALLi has a table and will distribute print copies of Choosing A Self-Publishing Service 2014, courtesy of IngramSpark.
Orna Ross will be speaking in a panel discussion entitled “Picking Your Publishing Path”, moderated by Stephen Spatz of BookBaby, with Hugh Howey and Mark Lefebvre of Kobo Writing Life completing the panel.
On the same day, Ross will be reading and signing a special 2-for-1 edition of her linked novels After the Rising and Before the Fall at 11.30am.
