The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors, LLC (AM&AA) Announces its Merger with The Middle Market Investment Banking Association, Inc. (MMIBA)
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 10, 2014 -- The leaders of the AM&AA® and the MMIBA today announced the merger of their respective trade associations and M&A certification and training programs. Mike Nall, a founder of the AM&AA in 1998 stated: “Our combined efforts will offer long-term strategic value for all our members, by adding professional knowledge and new relationships to our platform, in support of this overlooked and underserved market.” Dennis Roberts and NACVA (National Association of Certified Valuation Advisors), founded the MMIBA in 2008. According to Parnell Black of NACVA: “This is a good move. The merger of these businesses has finally brought together the best minds in the private company M&A industry.”
AM&AA offers CM&AA® (Certified M&A Advisor) certification program and MMIBA offers CMAP® (Chartered M&A Professional) certification program. Both are intensive 5 day-long programs. Over 850 individuals have graduated from these programs. According to the leaders of both organizations, this new business merger allows two like-minded, leading middle market professional communities to add scale, more easily identify best practices, harness capital resources, and share opportunities for professional growth and development within this highly fragmented ($5-$500MM revenues) private company sector. Both are committed to close collaboration with other M&A organizations around the world, to establish and elevate best professional standards & practices for the global M&A profession.
For the foreseeable future, both certification program offerings will continue as scheduled. Current MMIBA members will immediately become AM&AA members and will be eligible for AM&AA member benefits. Membership renewal will continue as before. Key members of the AM&AA and MMIBA management have known each other in excess of fifteen years. As a result, long-term integration plans are expected to go smoothly.
