The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Tackles Affordability with Art Grant Program
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) January 26, 2015 -- As The Art Institute of Pittsburgh continues to tackle affordability, the college has announced an innovative new program that invests in students and helps to reduce student debt, encourages smart borrowing, and improves the affordability of higher education. The Art Grant gives students the opportunity to earn and apply grant money toward their tuition—rewarding them for successfully completing course credits and progressing toward graduation.
Degree-seeking students can earn grant funding for every 12 course credits earned while maintaining continuous enrollment status, regardless of their program of study. An eligible associate degree student may earn up to 15 percent of their tuition in grant funding over the course of their studies and an eligible bachelor’s degree student may earn up to 20 percent. For a student enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, the opportunity for savings equates to up to $17,532 in tuition grant funding over the course of their studies. Students must meet all conditions to qualify.
“We continue to do everything possible to make education accessible and more affordable than ever," said The Art Institute of Pittsburgh President George W. Sebolt. "Rewarding dedicated students financially through The Art Grant is a significant encouragement for students to complete their degrees while reducing the cost of obtaining a higher education.”
