The Association of Divorce Financial Planners (ADFP) Held Its Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday April 8, 2015
EAST NORTHPORT, NY (PRWEB) April 14, 2015 -- The Association of Divorce Financial Planners (ADFP) held its Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday April 8, 2015. At the meeting, two members, who had been unanimously elected to serve on the Board of Directors at the March Board meeting, were introduced to the general membership: Karen Sparks of Divorce Financial Strategists, Santa Clara, CA, and Sarah Hussey of Weston Consulting Group, LLC, Bozeman, MT. The Board has additional members who will be continuing their terms: Mike Bean of Divorce Sense, LLC, Atlanta, GA; Bob Bordett of Collaborative Practice and Mediation Services, Inc., Atlanta, GA; Chris Chen of Insight Financial Strategies, LLC, Arlington, MA; Jerry Cohen of Financial Solutions for Divorce, Westlake Village, CA; Jodi D’Agostini of Rich Planning Group/AXA Advisors, Morristown, NJ; Ivy Menchel of Family Wealth Planning Partners, New York, NY; Ken Neumann of Center for Mediation & Training, New York, NY; Peggy Tracy of Priority Planning, Wheaton, IL; and Sandy Voit of Tangible Solutions, Inc., Kirkland, WA. Carl Palatnik of Divorce Analytics, Inc., Melville, NY, will continue Board service as Founding President Emeritus; and Lili Vasileff of Divorce and Money Matters LLC, Greenwich, CT, will continue Board service as President Emeritus.
Following the general election, the ADFP Board of Directors elected Cheryl Glazer of Cheryl S. Glazer, Narberth, PA to the office of Vice President/President-Elect; Jennifer Failla of Strada Wealth Management, Miami, FL, to the office of Treasurer; and Lori Lustberg of Lori Lustberg, Esq. LLC, Shelburne, VT as Secretary. Andrew Samalin of Samalin Investment Counsel, LLC, Chappaqua, NY, will continue to serve as President.
ADFP President Andrew Samalin stated: “This incredibly talented group of individuals represents the highest aspirations of the ADFP. Our Board is now comprised of mediators, attorneys, financial planners, and therapists, from California to New York, from Vermont to Florida, and many states in between.” Samalin continued: “ADFP has been growing in leaps and bounds the past few years and we are so excited to have this Board and Executive Committee at the helm, as we work to create a new paradigm of divorce that is healthier and more sustainable for divorcing couples and their children.”
The ADFP is an interdisciplinary association of professionals who research and analyze personal and business financial issues, as well as tax implications, related to divorce. The Association develops outreach programs, and training and continuing education opportunities for financial practitioners, allied divorce professionals and the general public. The organization plays a key role in policy making regarding divorce financial issues.
