The Boeing Company Deploys SecurityMatters SilentDefense ICS
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- SecurityMatters announces the delivery of SilentDefense ICS to the Boeing Company, deployed as part of their Enterprise Network Sentinel (ENS) Platform. Boeing will utilize SilentDefense ICS’s unmatched capabilities for the assessment and health check of its customer’s industrial control networks.
SilentDefense ICS is a network monitoring system specifically designed to monitor SCADA/ICS network assets, delivering an accurate view and control over their functioning while also detecting advanced threats directed towards them.
SilentDefense ICS employs patent-pending “self-configuring deep protocol network whitelisting” to compare the actual network configuration with the expected one with an unprecedented level of detail; down to the values exchanged by network devices. In addition, it can act like a watchdog, using accurate network fingerprinting to flag actions that are not appropriate within a network. The automatically generated model tells system operators which messages and locations can be safely allowed. This makes SilentDefense ICS the most accurate and comprehensive monitoring system for critical infrastructure networks available today.
SilentDefense ICS enables unprecedented situational awareness and control and features superior detection of threats to ICS networks. SilentDefense ICS requires no changes to legacy architecture, does not negatively affect the performance of network devices, and adds absolutely no overhead to network loads. It also interfaces easily with today’s Security Information and Event Managers (SIM/SIEM).
Dr. Sandro Etalle, SecurityMatters’ CEO, explained that SilentDefense ICS´s ground-breaking technology was conceived during more than 20 man years of university research and field experience to overcome the limitations of existing cybersecurity solutions.
