The Bon-Ton Store, Inc. Raised $430,000 in Donations to Support Boys & Girls Clubs of America This Holiday Season
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) January 14, 2015 -- The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: BONT), parent company of Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers department stores, raised $430,000 in donations, in partnership with Mario Lopez, through its Give the Gift of a Great Future Campaign this holiday season. The campaign gave customers the opportunity to show their support and help raise funds to support Boys & Girls clubs of America from October 1 through December 24, 2014. Since 1994, Bon-Ton has donated over $2 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America focused on impacting the local community.

Consumers were presented with a variety of ways to get involved with the Give the Gift of a Great Future Campaign. An exclusive plush teddy bear was sold in-stores and online for $7, in which 100% of the proceeds were donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Additionally, shoppers who donated $3 while shopping at Bon-Ton, received special coupons and discounts to use in-stores and online during the holiday season. On social media, fans were asked to pin their holiday picks from Bon-Ton onto their personal holiday wish list Pinterest boards and would then be entered into the 8 Weeks of Wishes sweepstakes. For every Pin, Bon-Ton donated $1 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
