(NASDAQ: BONT), which includes Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Bergner’s, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s and Younkers stores, announces its Community Days event to be held on February 28 and March 1 benefitting local non-profit organizations and the American Heart Association. Local non-profit groups may sign up now at http://www.communitydayevent.com to sell Community Days savings booklets in their neighborhoods and online to raise funds. Eligible Community Days organizations include 501C-3 nonprofit organizations and schools. Non-profit groups sell savings booklets for a $5 donation to support their group. The organization keeps 100% of the $5 donation. When an organization registers to sell the books online, they will receive a unique online selling link that can be used to e-mail supporters, friends and family. This link can also be used via social media; sellers are encouraged to post their link on the organizations website, Facebook and Twitter.
The 2013 Fall Community Days event raised approximately $5.8 million by participating non-profit organizations.
