The Box, Highland Park CrossFit Autonomy Sports Performance Gym, Expands Again With Open House on November 15, 2014
Highland Park, IL (PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- The Box: CrossFit Autonomy Sports Performance will celebrate its recent expansion with an open house Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Free tours and classes are included.
The Box focuses on total health and wellness. The former CrossFit Autonomy has been renamed "The Box: CrossFit Autonomy Sports Performance." Expanded services include chiropractic care, Yoga, meditation and sports performance programs for athletes young and old.
"We've succeeded beyond my wildest expectations," says co-owner and head coach Kevin Houston.“The big takeaway here is that Highland Park residents appreciate quality."
It all began a year ago with Houston working 18-hour days, six days a week, managing his gym single-handed. A second trainer, Ryan Clark, came on board six months later. A third trainer, Julie Ackerman, was recently added....along with Yoga, mediation and chiropractic care.
But the big breakthrough with the addition of facility manager Allyse Fischer and the move to a new location at 1892 First Street, in downtown Highland Park and within walking distance of the train station.
“It’s all about the customer experience,” says Houston, a Navy Veteran who once trained candidates for BUDs, the Navy SEAL school. “If your product and service are excellent, everything else will fall into place.”
Classes are capped at no more than 14 members to ensure everyone gets plenty of individual attention.
The upgraded facility allows simultaneous classes and offers improved amenities.
A special focus are CrossFit Kids and Teens program along with sports performance programs for high school and college athletes. "We make fitness fun for the kids," says Houston. "We offer smart programming and actual coaching to kids who work their tails off."
"What has surprised me most is the very positive reaction from members of all ages and fitness levels coming from other high quality gyms. Turns out the market is not saturated, after all. There will always be a place for excellence."
Houston believes in helping athletes achieve their goals — whether it they be mind, body or spirit. He believes his highly individualized approach sets The Box: CrossFit Autonomy Sports Perormance apart.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of current fitness level. The workouts are always adjusted to each individual's fitness level. "We are very comfortable working with people with no workout experience, weight problems, or older clients who need to be extremely careful to avoid injury."
So the welcome red carpet will be rolled for everyone out at the Open House, Saturday, November 15, 2104 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
