The Business Architecture Guild Announces the Release of the Business Architecture Tool Evaluator™ v1.2
Soquel, California (PRWEB) September 21, 2017 -- The Business Architecture Tool Evaluator™ provides practitioners with an objective means of assessing, scoring, and selecting an appropriate tool to support their business architecture practice. Tool evaluation criteria is based on the need to support business architecture principles and related practices as defined in A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge® (BIZBOK® Guide), which is created and managed by the Business Architecture Guild®.
The Business Architecture Tool Evaluator™ includes a comprehensive set of evaluation criteria. Evaluation criteria are organized into four major categories as defined in the BIZBOK® Guide along with two additional categories to assess the strength of the vendor and the total cost of ownership. Practitioners should consult BIZBOK® Guide Part 5 for details related to business architecture tooling requirements and options.
The Business Architecture Tool Evaluator™ applies a pre-defined weighting scale for each category and for each item within a category, which (in both cases) add up to 100 when given the maximum possible score. The Business Architecture Tool Evaluator™ will be updated to reflect the ongoing evolution of the BIZBOK® Guide.
According to Robert Kuchinski, CBA® working in financial services and insurance industries, “The team focused on tool evaluation criteria as a key input to objective, informed tool selection. The criteria remains referenceable to the principles and practices as defined in the BIZBOK® Guide, ensuring that tools are aligned to and evolve with in-house best practices.”
The release of the Business Architecture Tool Evaluator™ is in keeping with the Business Architecture Guild’s primary purpose, which focuses on advancing business architecture best practices.
