The Business Architecture Guild Releases A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge™ (BIZBOK™ Guide) Version 3.5
Soquel, CA (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- The Business Architecture Guild is pleased to announce the release of A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge™ (BIZBOK™ Guide) Version 3.5. As business architecture continues to help organizations shape, plan and deploy priority business initiatives, the BIZBOK™ Guide continues to evolve to reflect industry best practices. These business priorities include strategic plan development and deployment, business impact analysis, portfolio investment analysis, customer value enhancement and a variety of other transformation initiatives.
Version 3.5 highlights include the addition of the Business Architecture Maturity Model. The maturity model was conceived and developed by Guild members seeking a standardized approach to assess the quality and effectiveness of business architecture deployment at their organizations. A member presentation at the Business Architecture Innovation Summit at the end of March in Reston, VA will share early experiences in applying this model. Another highlight includes the Business Architecture Roles and Competencies model, which defines various competencies by role. These updates are the result of member-driven, collaborative development efforts that began as discussion groups in the Guild Member Community.
Version 3.5 additionally includes major enhancements to strategy mapping and incorporation of Value Network analysis into organization mapping and value mapping. Version 3.5 also features updates and refinements to other core and practice-based topic areas. These include capability mapping, business architecture and business process modeling and management, performance mapping, the business architecture knowledgebase, business architecture and IT architecture alignment, and business architecture and requirements analysis. Finally, Version 3.5 features a new set of business architecture study questions.
