The Cabin Chiang Mai Alcohol and Drug Rehab to Participate in UKESAD Conference from 4th to 6th May
(PRWEB) April 28, 2015 -- Alastair Mordey, Program Director of The Cabin Chiang Mai rehab will be joining other leaders in addiction treatment at the UK/European Symposium on Addictive Disorders (UKESAD) – the UK’s largest addiction care event held from 4th to 6th May, 2015. During the course of the conference, these professionals will share their knowledge and expertise on the latest developments in addiction treatment and how to achieve sustainable recovery.
Alastair, who designed the highly successful treatment programme used at The Cabin Chiang Mai, Asia’s top residential addiction treatment centre located in Northern Thailand, will speak on the treatment model, which has delivered more than 1200 clients into successful recovery since its opening in 2010.

Alastair is a certified and accredited addiction counsellor with over 10 years’ experience in the addiction field and has worked in all four tiers of the UK’s treatment services, including as an advisor to the National Treatment Agency on matters of drug and alcohol treatment provision. His forte is developing therapeutic group work models for both inpatient and outpatient settings. He also writes articles on addiction for numerous media outlets including CNN and Asian Correspondent.
