The Center for Medical Weight Loss Appoints Dr. Matthew G. Pinto as New Medical Director
TARRYTOWN, NY (PRWEB) October 01, 2014 -- The Center for Medical Weight Loss (CMWL), the largest network of non-surgical medical weight loss providers in the U.S., announced today that Matthew G. Pinto, DO will be joining the company as its Medical Director. Dr. Pinto succeeds Dr. Michael S. Kaplan, who co-founded the company in 2006. Dr. Kaplan will continue to focus his time and effort on being a physician and spending more time taking care of patients in his practices on Long Island, NY.
Dr. Pinto is a longtime member of CMWL. He joined the network and launched his New Jersey-based medical weight loss practice in in 2010. His passion for obesity medicine drove his rapid success and public recognition as “the weight loss doctor” in the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey metro area.
In addition to being a top-performing network provider, Dr. Pinto has also contributed to the company in several ways – from training other providers to effectively help patients lose weight, to speaking at conferences and continuing medical education seminars, to growing the CMWL network and participating in the CMWL Physician Partner Advisory Board. In addition to helping patients lose weight with the CMWL program, Dr. Pinto has lost weight using the program himself.
