AUSTIN, Texas (PRWEB) February 12, 2018 -- For the first time ever, the CEHMDF has officially designated the month of February as Morgellons Awareness Month. February was chosen in celebration of Charles E. Holman, founder of the organization, whose birthday was February 12th.
On February 1st, the documentary film, Skin Deep: The Battle Over Morgellons launched their Kickstarter campaign. The foundation president, Cindy Casey, and many other members of the CEHMDF have an active role in this film. Director Pi Ware and his team are committed to raising awareness and creating empathy by sharing the stories of Morgellons patients, the physicians who treat them, and the science behind the disease. “Fortunately," states Pi Ware, the film's director, "we have filmed 80% of our footage already, which means the challenges of finding the characters and story are already behind us. We just need this funding to get us to the editorial finish line. Our goals with Skin Deep are to show the reality of this devastating disease and to inspire both hope and government funding for research.” In honor of Morgellons Awareness Month, Skin Deep has released a 3 minute trailer and launched their the Kickstarter campaign at: bit.ly/SkinDeepMovie
In addition, the Facebook page for Skin Deep: The Battle Over Morgellons has created a new Morgellons Awareness Month Facebook frame for profile photos at https://www.facebook.com/morgellonsmovie/posts/957228704427824.
