The Cincinnati Insurance Company Increases Agency Connectivity with Commercial Lines Download from IVANS
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) January 14, 2015 -- IVANS Insurance Solutions, a division of Applied Systems, announced that The Cincinnati Insurance Company has expanded its use of IVANS Download with the addition of commercial lines download service to the independent insurance agencies that represent the company. Since implementing the service earlier this year, Cincinnati Insurance has steadily increased its commercial lines download connections to independent agencies that receive daily commercial lines information updates from the carrier directly to their agency management systems in addition to personal lines and other information exchanged through IVANS Download.
“Cincinnati and the independent agencies that represent us continue to expand on the value of automated information exchange with commercial lines package download to increase efficiency, reduce administrative costs and enhance service to insureds,” said Rich Mathews, AIT, CPCU, vice president of information technology, The Cincinnati Insurance Company. “The addition of commercial lines download from IVANS has allowed us to share data with agencies for this line of business, enabling agencies to better manage risks for their commercial clients.”
IVANS is the industry standard for connectivity and data exchange between carriers and independent agencies in the property and casualty insurance industry. IVANS Download automates the delivery of personal and commercial lines policy, claims, Activity Notes and other policyholder-related information from carriers to agencies based on the latest ACORD data standards, enabling carriers and agencies to focus more on insurance business by reducing manual, administrative tasks. IVANS Download drives greater efficiency and connectivity between carriers and their agencies and ensures that current, accurate information is continually available throughout underwriting and servicing.
Schultheis Insurance, an independent insurance agency serving multiple states in the Midwest, began receiving commercial lines download from Cincinnati Insurance shortly after the carrier began offering the service through IVANS. “Cincinnati automatically provides complete commercial lines information updates, including data about coverages and premiums that we had not received before,” said Casey Herring, system administrator, Schultheis Insurance. “Working closely with Cincinnati on this project has demonstrated the value of commercial lines download to our business and how it benefits our insured clients.”
Currently more than 60 percent of all U.S. independent insurance agencies and brokerages receive commercial lines download, connecting to multiple carriers for their commercial lines business. According to the ACT/AUGIE 2013 Real-Time/Download survey, commercial lines download saves almost an hour per agency employee per day. Approximately 90 percent of all carriers downloading to agencies use IVANS.
“Adoption of commercial lines download is accelerating as the insurance industry becomes more technology-driven with increasing expectations from policyholders for faster and thorough service at every touch point,” said Paul Warga, vice president of Product Management, IVANS Insurance Solutions. “By expanding carrier-agency connectivity with commercial lines download from IVANS, Cincinnati operates more efficiently and provides its agencies the greater capabilities needed to service more clients and prospects more effectively.”
