The Creativity Workshop Reaches 15 Consecutive Years Teaching in Barcelona
New York, New York (PRWEB) April 28, 2014 -- Representatives with The Creativity Workshop announced today that its June 15 – 21 marks its 15th consecutive year hosting a workshop in Barcelona.
Ceci Glusman, spokeswoman for The Creativity Workshop, said The Creativity Workshop in Barcelona will meet for five days, three and a half hours per day (from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM).
“You will have the rest of the time to wander around Barcelona and its neighborhoods,” Glusman pointed out.
Class, according to Glusman, will take place at Hotel HCC Open, located in the historic Eixample neighborhood, a 10-minute walk from the elegant shopping district Passeig de Gràcia and some of the most famous architecture of Antoni Gaudí.
“The Creativity Workshop in Barcelona will help you become more creative in your personal and professional life,” Glusman stressed, before adding, “The creativity training we provide uses the tools of creative writing, memoir, art, photography, storytelling, mapmaking, and guided visualization.”
Lalita Noronha, author, fiction editor of The Baltimore Review, and previous Barcelona workshop attendee, gave the workshop two thumbs up.
“Absolutely amazing things happen when you take flight at The Creativity Workshop,” Noronha recalled. “You will return to earth, magically transformed. Each morning in Barcelona, we awoke to blue, sunny skies and a warm Mediterranean breeze. We spread out with our journals and colored pencils nearby, and then, lulled by the cadence of our instructor's musical voice, we switched off the editor in our heads and set out to capture lost dreams.”
Glusman noted that the sounds and sights of this dynamic city will fuel everyone’s creative endeavors in the workshop, while the techniques being explored in class will heighten participants’ appreciation of Barcelona.”
“This magnificent city inspired the artists Gaudí, Picasso, Dalí, and Miró, all of whom have works displayed prominently here,” Glusman said. “Seaside resort towns, such as Sitges, are only a half-hour train ride away.”
