The Creativity Workshop to Hold Spring Workshops in Prague and Florence
New York, New York (PRWEB) December 21, 2013 -- Representatives with The Creativity Workshop announced today that it will hold workshops during the Spring of 2014 in Prague and Florence.
Ceci Glusman, spokesperson for The Creativity Workshop, said it will hold a workshop March 23 - 29 in Prague, and will meet for five days for three and a half hours per day.
“Participants will have the rest of their time free to take in this breathtaking city, famous for its blocks of original Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings,” Glusman pointed out.
Class, according to Glusman, will be held at Hotel Paris, which she described as a beautiful Art Nouveau building in Prague’s historical center, in a section primarily open to pedestrians only.
“From here, you will be within easy walking distance of Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square,” Glusman said, before adding, “Many people who have taken the workshop say that it was a transformative experience, helping them to write their books, start new companies, complete long overdue projects, transition to rewarding retirements, and change the way they look at life.”
Stephanie Satie, an actress and playwright from Los Angeles, confirmed Glusman’s sentiments and went on to recommend the workshop to others.
“The workshop was a wonderful celebration of our individual possibilities,” Satie recalled. “Everyone jumped in wholeheartedly and supported each other's undertakings. One of the biggest surprises was the effect of drawing on my work and life. I'm one of those non-drawing people, but as I sketched, it helped me to see more and more. I can't wait to take the workshop again. It is food for life.”
In addition to the Prague workshop, Glusman noted that it will hold a March 31 - April 6 workshop in Florence.
The Florence workshop will also meet for five days, three and a half hours per day.
“Attendees will have the rest of the time to meander around this breathtaking city, home of Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botticelli,” Glusman said.
Class, according to Glusman, will be held at Hotel Montebello Splendid, located a few blocks from the Arno River and the Opera House, and a 15-minute walk to the Duomo (Florence's Gothic cathedral) and the famous Uffizi Gallery.
“Participants in the past have come from many different countries and professional fields, including business, education, psychology, the sciences, and the arts,” Glusman said.
Heidi Lang, a teacher of gifted students at Falls Church City Public Schools in Falls Church, Va., said the Florence workshop is a life-changing experience for anyone who attends, just as it was for her.
“The Florence Creativity Workshop taught me the value of sharing my ideas and work with others,” Lang said. “The observation exercises had me noticing all sorts of new things. In the past my rolls of film might have been filled with the typical pictures of the Duomo. The workshop changed all that. Now I've captured on film, or in writing, or simply in my memory, images of the delicate turn of a leaf, the petals of a hydrangea on a terra cotta terrace, the contrast of a freshly fallen lemon on a bed of grass.”
