The Cubodira, a Collapsible Dish Rack / Cutting Board is Voted Into Invention Competition
Wellesley, Massachusetts (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Sixty Four of the latest inventions were voted into the "Genesis" competition run by My Cool Inventions Radio Stations. The sixty four contestants are entered into brackets for the competition. The Cubodira will be competing this Saturday, October 26, 2014. The program is at 4:00. The Cubodira is a dish rack which folds down to become a cutting board. It is easily stored on its side to free up counter space. The cutting board is made of high density polyethylene which is customary for plastic cutting boards. Rubber feet make the cutting board stable. A recessed groove holds liquids on the surface.
Water is contained in the base of the dish rack which is slanted to allow drainage into a sink. Stainless steel wire construct makes it strong and durable to hold up to nine plates, silverware, glasses, and cups. The dish rack transforms to the cutting board by simply lowering the top. It is held shut for use as a cutting board by a latch at the end.
Home and Decorating voted the Cubodira one of the top five new kitchen gadgets for 2013. Here is what they said in their review:
"Think of two standard, everyday kitchen items. Combine them, and what do you get? The Cubodira by JonJas. In other words, a cutting board which transforms into a dish-rack (and vice-versa!). This unusual contraption could save valuable worktop space in the kitchen – more of your kitchen counter to admire. Its ease of use, novelty and collapsible feature are all in the product’s favour, and it is a money saving device as it combines two items in one."
The patented product has completed a first round of manufacturing and will begin sales soon. The Cubodira can be purchased on the website http://www.JonJas.com or on Amazon.
