The Delray Recovery Center Hosts Interventionist Training
Delray Beach, Florida (PRWEB) December 06, 2013 -- The Delray Recovery Center is proud to host an interventionist training presented by Ken Seeley of Intervention 911, John Southworth of Southworth Associates, and Caroline Smith of Pine Grove Behavioral Health. The training will take place from January 30 to February 1, 2014, at the Hyatt Place hotel in Delray Beach, Florida.
This training is a prime educational opportunity for intervention specialists and substance abuse professionals who wish to obtain the Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) certification before April 1, 2014, when The Pennsylvania Certification Board will begin requiring an examination. This training will award participants 28 CE hours, and is open to treatment center clinicians, therapists, medical professionals, students, and anyone working with addicted populations.
"The Delray Recovery Center is thrilled to host such renowned professionals. We in the industry have much to learn from each other, and we are proud to do our part to support these efforts." - Chief Financial Officer at The Delray Recovery Center, Peter Walstrom.
Both John Southworth and Ken Seeley are Level II Board Registered Interventionist, and were frequently featured on the hit A&E television show, Intervention. Using the Johnson Model of Intervention, they have teamed up with Eric McLaughlin of Intervention 911 and Caroline Smith of Pine Grove Behavioral Health, to provide training for those looking to become professional interventionists.
"Ever since the television show, Intervention, a lot of people became interested in conducting substance abuse interventions without proper training. We have come a long way in the field to certify intervention specialists," said Ken Seeley of Intervention 911. "We are excited to provide an opportunity for adequate training."
“We are excited to be back in Florida where so many are interested in learning about intervention and long-term recovery,” said John Southworth of Southworth Associates. “During the training we will cover intervention styles and techniques, role-play intervention scenarios, and the business of intervention.”
Located in Delray Beach, FL, The Delray Recovery Center offers individualized treatment programs for alcohol and drug addiction, as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. The Delray Recovery Center believes in a long-term treatment model, where patients go through a 5-phase step down continuum of care, allowing them to develop the tools necessary to achieve long-term recovery.
