About the Author
Rubén García Badillo is a Catholic priest and charismatic preacher. He was born on March 3, 1933 in Tlaxcala, Mexico. At the age of eleven, he moved to Mexico City in search of a job. In January 1949, he met Frida Kahlo with whom he fell in love. This love was to be the beginning of numerous enigmas in the life of the author. In 1950, he started working with the architects Gustavo Saavedra and Juan O’ Gorman, two of Frida’s friends. In 1955, he presented his resignation to Gustavo Saavedra and returned to Tlaxcala. There he met the poet “El Cachucha” Miguel N. Lira, Frida Kahlo’s companion and “little brother”.
