The Fenway Group Wins a Printing Impressions 2013 Gold Ink Award
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- The Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston’s Annual Report was created to be an 8 x 10 perfect bound book with a full color, custom die cut cover and a combination of full color and black and white text pages. The Gold Ink Awards, produced by Printing Impressions, is the industry’s most prestigious print competition. The 2013 competition attracted nearly 1,500 entries from all over the country. Award winning pieces are determined by an esteemed panel of judges and are featured in Printing Impressions magazine and GoldInk.com.
“Our goal was to design a report that told the story of how Schechter impacts the lives of their students, faculty and families,” explained Rick Sands, creative director and president of The Fenway Group. “Their stories are compelling and inspiring and demonstrates how well the school works more than any charts and figures.”
“We produced the report on both the digital and traditional offset presses. The biographies were in full color on a linen stock so they would stand out from the rest of the report,” stated Mark Drummond, production manager. “We were able to collate the different pages into the custom die cut covers and perfect bind the books.”
