The Formula for Spiritual Growth in Children
Richmond Hill, N.Y. (PRWEB) October 05, 2016 -- With prayer and time for spiritual reflection now absent from public schools, children receive fewer opportunities to strengthen their moral fiber.
Rev. Dr. Bronco H. Crooke’s new book, Nurturing the Human Spirit Through Character Development in Adolescents, provides a framework for restoring spiritual and ethical principles in young people at the time they need it most.
“As a society, we constantly nurture the physical growth of our children but ignore the spiritual growth,” Dr. Crooke said. “If we ignore the spiritual growth of our children, they are vulnerable to the negative and evil influences in their environment.”
A junior high school teacher in the New York City public school system for more than 30 years, signs of moral decline and negative behavior in students incited Dr. Crooke to take action.
“We are in a spiritual warfare,” Dr. Crooke said. “Because we cannot see the evil that we confront daily, we need the aid of our spiritual guide, our comforter, to lead and nurture us in the right way.”
