The Gathering Table’s Garden to Table Home-Style Cooking, Highlighted at Fresh From Florida Event

The event was held at the Quincey Ranch and was attended by leaders in the agricultural and hospitality industries, including the Commissioner of Agriculture, Adam Putnam.
The Gathering Table is the epitome of “Fresh From Florida” and has become a must-stop for travelers and tourists. “We pick only top quality ingredients, when creating our dishes and use fresh local ingredients at every chance we have. We work with local producers for as much of our seafood, meat, fruit and vegetables,” said owner, Paige Brookins. “All of our beef comes from the one and only Quincey Cattle Company, a true staple in the community and just three miles down the road from us. You can’t get more local that that.”
The Gathering Table opened its doors two years ago and became an instant success and is now considered a Florida destination restaurant. Owner, Paige Brookins is a fifth generation Floridian and has carried on the family tradition of feeding Chiefland and its surrounding communities. Paige’s grandfather owned and operated a local grocery store, Hudson Food Store, many years prior. That same location is now where The Gathering Table stands. Paige’s vision was always all about home-style cooking and brought in Gene Ridgeway, widely known and revered in the area for her southern, family-style fare.
