The Geological Society Partners with ReadCube to Enhance Discoverability of its Scholarly Journals and Books
Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) February 04, 2016 -- The Geological Society of London (GSL), a major international Earth science publisher, announces their partnership with Boston-based publishing technology company ReadCube to index their scholarly journals and books with ReadCube’s Discover service. Over 20,000 articles are now searchable across ReadCube’s web, desktop, and mobile reading portals and also included in ReadCube’s search engines, related article feeds and popular recommendation engine.
“Our aim is to ensure that our content is discoverable to readers worldwide,” said Neal Marriott, Director of Publishing, Library and Information Services. “We also want to offer our readers the best possible reading experience and this collaboration with ReadCube supports both of these objectives.”
When read within any of the free ReadCube apps, GSL articles will be available in ReadCube’s Enhanced PDF reading format. Enhancements include hyperlinked in-line citations and figures, annotations, clickable author names, instant access to supplemental content, social sharing, and altmetrics.
“We’re looking forward to working with the Geological Society of London,” said Robert McGrath, CEO and co-founder of ReadCube. “Together we will continue to improve the accessibility of high-quality scholarly content and further support researchers worldwide.”
