The George Washington University Partners with European Energy Centre to Up-skill US Renewables Workforce
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) September 28, 2015 -- “The School of Engineering and Applied Science at The George Washington University is pleased to partner with the European Energy Centre, which works with the United Nations Environment Programme, to provide state-of-the-art educational opportunities in the areas of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency,” comments David S. Dolling (Dean, School of Engineering and Applied Science, The George Washington University).
This partnership will combine the experience of the GWU as a leading worldwide academic institution, with the vocational training expertise of the EEC that has worked for 40 years with major universities, leading global authorities and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
The educational seminars, launching in October 2015, are short courses designed for busy professionals who aim to up-skill in the Renewable Energy Industry. The training is taught by leading experts in the renewable energy field who have more than 20 years’ practical and theoretical experience in the sector. The training seminars are open to all professionals and students, from those with technical backgrounds to others who have no prior experience. Class sizes are set in order to encourage Q&A consultancy sessions during the courses, both between the delegates and lecturer and also to provide an opportunity for the delegates themselves to network.
Training materials are developed by industry experts and are required to maintain the standards set by a team of Quality Assessors at an Independent Body, which has provided training seminars for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for participants from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.
