The Groaning Board's Spring Menu Reveal
PORTLAND, OR (PRWEB) April 24, 2015 -- On May 5th, The Groaning Board is launching their new spring menu, dubbed the “GB Spring Reveal” featuring locally sourced, spring fresh ingredients. The menu was created by first time Executive Chef, Cory Chunn, and features new menu items to complement the warming weather along with outside seating.
“We listen to our customers and respond to their requests with action,” said Chunn. “In doing so we’ve developed some fantastic new menu items that I’m confident will be well received, by our regulars and new customers - when coming in for brunch, lunch, happy hour, or dinner.”
The dinner menu will have new sharing plates, platters, and continue to feature daily and weekly specials. A few of the featured items on the menu are pork sliders with a house made Alabama barbecue sauce topped with fennel slaw, Pfreim beer battered onion rings with horseradish and smoked paprika, and a honey cider glazed carrot dish topped with Oregon hazelnuts. Also you’ll find a new seasonal cocktail and dessert menu, to open and close your visit. Lunch will be a smaller variation of the dinner menu and the happy hour menu will also undergo a refresh.
“We want to be South Waterfront’s Cheers where we can be the go to place for a quick bite or a nice dinner,” said Amee Finigan, The Groaning Board General Manager. “We’re just thrilled to serve the Portland community in such a dynamic neighborhood setting and are excited for our new menu launch.”
About:
The Groaning Board was established in 2014, located in Portland’s South Waterfront neighborhood. The 17th century meaning of groaning board refers to the groaning of a community table heavily laden with food - and that’s the inspiration for the rustic inspired fare served at this locally owned pub. The menu is seasonal with weekly and daily specials derived from fresh ingredients, locally sourced, to add interest to seasonal mainstays. Pit stops after work, sharing platters among friends, and parties of all sizes - for any occasion or just because - will always be welcome.
