One of Schneider’s recent clients was faced with a requirement to increase assembly department production by 32% in just one year – a daunting task by anyone’s standards. Unfazed, Schneider worked with the company to improve their production floor policies and procedures, redesign the new hire training program, and implement a cross-training program to reduce the typical time to productivity from 12 months to 3 months. The new system and processes allowed the department to meet the 32% production requirement and even decreased manufacturing lead times by 15%.
