The Hallberg Advisors Initiates Charity and Awareness Campaign Dedicated to Protecting Surrendered Newborns in the Illinois Area
Orlando Park, IL (PRWEB) June 19, 2015 -- An ongoing charity initiative has been announced by the Hallberg Advisors, a locally owned insurance firm, and the Save Abandoned Babies Foundation. The planned awareness and donation gathering effort will provide resources to ensure that local mothers, families, and teens that are enacting their rights under the Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act are instructed on the safe and proper surrendering of newborn infants.
Since 2001, the Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act has been part of Illinois State law, and allows a parent to surrender an unharmed newborn child to staff members at any hospital, police station, or manned fire station. The anonymity of the surrendering parent is guaranteed, and the parent may exercise this right with no questions asked.
Since enacted, the Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act has saved the lives of nearly 100 new born children; however, nearly as many newborns have been unsafely abandoned during the same time period. The Save Abandoned Babies Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that community members are properly informed about the proper way to exercise their lawful right to surrendering a newborn while ensuring that the child remains safe and free from danger.
