The Henry Ford and Shell to Recognize Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2014 Diesel Record Setting Student High School Team
Dearborn, Mich. (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- WHAT: On May 1 at 10:30 a.m. EDT, The Henry Ford will hold a joint press conference with Shell to recognize the high school team that set a new record in diesel fuel efficiency at the Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2014 this past weekend. Shell Eco-marathon is a unique, global competition that challenges high school and university students to push the boundaries of energy efficiency on the road.
The Sullivan High School team, from Sullivan, Indiana, will showcase their winning, built-from-scratch ultra-fuel-efficient vehicle designed for Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2014.
Sullivan High School’s Team “No Spark Plug Allowed” set a new fuel efficiency record for Shell Eco-marathon Americas in the diesel category with 1,899 MPG equivalent.
The Henry Ford will display the team’s winning vehicle to highlight the innovation, passion and teamwork required to push mobility forward as Detroit gears up to host the 2015 Shell Eco-marathon Americas competition.
