The Holiday Spirit Flows At ARS / Rescue Rooter in Nashville
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) December 28, 2013 -- At ARS/Rescue Rooter, a local HVAC and plumbing company in Nashville, the holiday spirit was flowing this December as employees made it their mission to give back to as many people as possible this season. From hams and winter coats to toys and brand new heating equipment, ARS helped many individuals in a variety of ways.
First, the office was shut down one morning in mid-December so employees could buy toys and other gifts for local children. A parade of ARS/Rescue Rooter vans and trucks left the main branch office and traveled to a local retail store. Once the gifts were purchased, the parade of ARS vehicles continued to Stones River Church and Sycamore Middle School in Cheatham County to make the delivery. ARS/Rescue Rooter donated $1,000 towards this cause. “It was so touching to see the children’s faces when we came in to give them their gifts. That alone made my holiday,” one employee said.
Second, ARS/Rescue Rooter donated free equipment to various individuals in December. One person received a tankless water heater. Another person, who is a very valued employee at ARS, received a free heating and cooling system. On an initial diagnosis, two HVAC service technicians at ARS deemed this individual’s system to be unsafe and near the end of life expectancy. However, after going through significant medical challenges that resulted in an abundance of doctor bills, it was difficult to afford. Knowing the system needed to be replaced, ARS/Rescue Rooter rewarded this employee’s invaluable and long-term service with the gift of a new heating and cooling system for the holiday.
Third, ARS donated many gifts to the people at The Nashville Rescue Mission, including clothes, coats, shoes, and more. In addition, the company purchased enough ham to feed 750 people. The office was shut down again so that all employees could personally give their donations and gifts, as well as spend time with the people at the Rescue Mission.
The General Manager at ARS/Rescue Rooter, said “Our employees were extremely excited to give back this Holiday. We wanted to bring as much joy as we could to those in need, and create a smile, a laugh - a gleam in their eyes. We just wanted to take part in the true meaning of the season!”
ARS/Rescue Rooter in Nashville truly took part in the true meaning of the season. Not only did they donate thousands of dollars and many hours of time to local people in our community this season, but they also provided, and received, a wealth of joy.
