The Homeownership Preservation Foundation's (HPF) Chief Executive Officer Colleen Hernandez to Retire
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- The Homeownership Preservation Foundation (HPF) announced today that its chief executive officer, Colleen Hernandez, will be retiring. Hernandez will continue to serve as CEO and President of HPF until her successor is hired and fully orientated. HPF is an independent national nonprofit dedicated to guiding consumers onto the path of sustainable homeownership and improving their overall financial health.
HPF’s Board of Directors has formed a Search Committee to lead a comprehensive search process to identify the next CEO. Heidrick & Struggles, a leading executive recruiting firm, has been retained to assist in the process.
Sanjeev Handa, chairman of the Board, said, “On behalf of the entire Board, and for everyone at HPF, I would like to thank Colleen for her tireless commitment and we look forward to her continuing leadership as we conduct our search for her successor. Under her exceptional leadership HPF has been able to serve millions of homeowners when they needed it the most and has positioned the organization to proactively help the next generation of homeowners”.
“It has been personally gratifying to serve homeowners who came to us in their darkest hours”, Hernandez said. “Eight years ago, when I took this role as CEO I made a personal commitment to HPF—to lead it through the crisis and to create a strong, viable organization that truly helps consumers before and after they purchase a home or when they are in trouble. I have fulfilled that commitment and as planned I am moving on to enjoy the next phase of my life. I am confident that HPF is well positioned to continue to help consumers navigate through the challenges of homeownership and I look forward to working with the Board of Directors and my successor to ensure a seamless transition.”
