The House Donates "Fat" Prizes to Minnesota's Winter Scavenger Hunt Contest
St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- There's never been a better time to live in Minnesota. At the peak of winter, there are slopes covered in powder ripe for shredding, brisk winds screaming vitality, an adventurous and unexpected event called Checkpoint MN, and now – thanks to The House – Framed Minnesota Fatties, colloquially known as sweet bikes with fat tires.
After hearing about the imaginative Checkpoint MN and realizing the awesome opportunity to contribute to the statewide adventure, members of The House, a fully stocked seller of outdoor gear, immediately rose to the occasion. In addition to donating a few of the Fatties, The House also donated a handful of cash prizes in honor of the Minnesotans who would attempt to visit all areas of interest in the scavenger hunt.
For the Checkpoint MN event, there are a total of 10 locations that Minnesota scavengers need to visit for the best chances of winning a grand prize. The scavenger hunt, running from December 10, 2013 to February 7, 2014, requires each contestant to create an account on the Checkpoint MN website and upload photos of themselves next to landmarks at each location. One picture at one landmark equals one point and, at the end of the competition, the contestants with the most points win the best prizes.
Who will win the bikes? Those who will win – and those who already have won – are those who are outgoing and quick to visit 10 of the most scenic locations in Minnesota. Currently, 4 of the 5 grand prizes that include the Fat Bike have already been claimed. But there's still one more, and all you need to do to win it is visit at least one of the approved locations.
The last grand prize is part of a lottery that will draw from a pool of contestants who have at least one point. Each point equals one "ticket" entered into the lottery.
