The Institutes Announces New Innovation Programs to Help Industry Pursue Growth in a Time of Rapid Change
MALVERN, Pa (PRWEB) March 09, 2018 -- The Institutes, the leading education and research provider for the risk management and property-casualty insurance industry, today announced plans to offer educational opportunities focused on innovation and strategy. The Institutes is developing webinars, live events and courses in partnership with Insurance Thought Leadership (ITL), a global thought leadership platform dedicated to insurance innovation and emerging technology. The Institutes and ITL announced an alliance in January 2018.
“Our industry is at an exciting crossroads, with many companies seeking to capitalize on the opportunities presented by emerging technology and an influx of insurtech startups,” said Peter L. Miller, CPCU, president and chief executive officer of The Institutes. “We are eager to combine our expertise in building knowledge resources with ITL’s insights on innovation to create events and programs that are needed in our industry.”
Following live events and webinars scheduled for the spring and summer of 2018, The Institutes will launch a new course, Innovation for Insurance, in the fall of 2018. The curriculum will focus on leveraging innovation strategies to help create operational efficiencies, improve customer service, protect and grow revenue, and pursue new market opportunities. Now under development with Guy Fraker, ITL’s Chief Innovation Officer, Innovation for Insurance will include self-study segments, podcasts, webinars and other multi-media learning tools.
“We are excited to share our innovation strategy approach with a broader audience through The Institutes, especially in light of the new role that innovation may take in industry credit ratings,” said Fraker.
Industry analyst A.M. Best announced earlier this week that it will review its Best’s Credit Rating Methodology to consider the inclusion of innovation in the assessment and ratings they provide on more than 3,400 companies worldwide, using data from ITL’s Innovator’s Edge platform.
