The Institutes Welcome John Quiñones as Keynote Speaker for 2016 CPCU Conferment Ceremony
Malvern, PA (PRWEB) February 18, 2016 -- John Quiñones, journalist, author and award-winning anchor, will be the keynote speaker for The Institutes’ 2016 Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) Conferment Ceremony. The ceremony will kick off the CPCU Society Annual Meeting being held September 17 to 20 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Quiñones is the co-anchor of the ABC newsmagazine program Primetime, as well as the sole anchor of the Primetime series What Would You Do?, one of the highest rated newsmagazine franchises of recent years. He also recently authored a book entitled What Would You Do? Words of Wisdom about Doing the Right Thing.
A seven-time Emmy winner, Quiñones has won numerous accolades for his work in journalism over the years. Among his many prestigious awards are the First Prize in International Reporting and Robert F. Kennedy Prize for his work on Modern Slavery – Children Sugar Cane Cutters in the Dominican Republic.
The Institutes’ Conferment Ceremony recognizes new CPCU designees who have passed a series of courses and examinations on risk management principles, insurance policy contracts and coverage analysis. It coincides with the opening of the CPCU Society Annual Meeting, which brings technical-education seminars and professional development opportunities to more than 2,000 risk management and property-casualty insurance industry professionals each year.
