The Irish Music School of Chicago Announces Early Spring Class Term and New Northwest Side Location
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- The Irish Music School of Chicago announces its Early Spring Class Term with both kids classes and adult classes in traditional Irish music, singing and dance. The School is adding a new fifth teaching location on the far Northwest side of Chicago based on popular demand for traditional Irish music classes in that area.
Classes continue beginning the week of February 3, 2014 on Sundays at Concordia Place (3300 N. Whipple, Chicago) and Tuesdays at Chief O’Neill’s Restaurant (3471 N. Elston, Chicago) and Wednesdays at Art’s Gallery (3446 N. Albany, Chicago). Monday classes will continue on Mondays at St. Juliana Catholic School (7200 N. Osceola Avenue, Chicago) on February 23, 2014. Additionally, the School will now teach at Mo Dailey’s on Monday evenings (6070 N. Northwest Hwy, Chicago).
Instruction is available in Irish Fiddle, Tin Whistle, Irish Flute, Irish Guitar, Irish-style Cello, Sean-Nós Dancing and Irish Singing to students of all ages and levels. Group classes are available when three or more students are enrolled and pre-registration is required. Private instruction is also provided by request. Group classes cost $20 per hour for children and $23 per hour for adults. Private instruction costs $30 for 30 minutes; $45 for 45 minutes and $60 for 60 minutes.

We’ve had a lot of requests from parents and adult students in that area which includes Norwood Park, Edison Park, and Park Ridge all of which have a lot of Irish and Irish-American families. We are thrilled to partner with Megan and Mo Dailey’s.”
The Irish Music School of Chicago, a non-profit organization, preserves the living tradition of Irish music, song and dance by creating opportunities for different generations to come together, play and learn from each other. This is known as Ó Ghlúin go Glúin, or from generation to generation. The School provides the opportunity for students and fans to celebrate these traditions and keep alive the great history of this music in Chicago and surrounding areas.
