Montréal, Québec (PRWEB) October 19, 2016 -- IXIASOFT, a global leader in the component content management systems (CCMS) marketplace, officially announced today its latest product release: DITA CMS 4.3 - the newest version of its native DITA component content management system. New features of this latest version focus around three poles: enhanced user productivity, localization and Dynamic Release Management enhancements.

Indeed, DITA CMS 4.3 offers new features that will improve overall user productivity. These include:

  • DITA 1.3 readiness: as an active member of the OASIS DITA Committee, IXIASOFT is proud to announce its support for DITA 1.3 in the DITA CMS which includes the new troubleshooting topic type, keyscopes, branch filtering and direct support for MathML and SVG.
  • The new subject scheme support: provides a simple and very flexible way for users to configure the profiling conditions that will be available for their topics and maps by adding a subject scheme to their map. This allows users to work with different sets of profiling conditions for their different maps, while also easily sharing condition sets between maps if needed.
  • Redlining over the DITA CMS snapshot: this will facilitate the comparison of the current content of a map with any of the past milestones that have been recorded as snapshots.

In addition, DITA CMS 4.3 provides important enhancements to its localization functionalities. These include:

  • The new incremental localization option allows users to send to translation some of the content of a map before the entire workload is completed. This action, available only to users within the sequential localization model, will help customers lower the delay between the delivery of the source content and the availability of the translations by allowing them to translate as much as possible in advance.
  • Support for pivot languages, where a translation can be used as the source language for other translations. This flexibility will result in considerable cost savings, especially for organizations whose source language is not English.
  • The Localization Scheduler is a new functionality that allows organizations to automate and customize their localization process. This framework needs to be configured according to each organization’s localization processes and TMS or LSP vendors they work with.

Finally, the IXIASOFT DITA CMS 4.3 also offers an improved Dynamic Release Management (DRM) module, which allows for an enhanced user experience. New features in the DRM include:

  • Support for multiple levels of libraries which allows for more granularity in how customers can organize their content in order to improve reusability across multiple products.
  • Renaming DRM version which provides the flexibility to easily adapt to the changes of product name and/or version that may occur during the development process.
