The Jamie's Hope Foundation Strives Once Again to Bring Hope to Struggling Families Battling Cancer This Christmas
Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 26, 2013 -- Jamie’s Hope hosts the Second Annual Angel Tree Mission Happy Hour event at the Palm Restaurant in Houston, Texas on Monday, December 2, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Each year, Jamie's Hope sifts through the devastating stories of families who are financially distraught due to battling cancer, let alone their lives. Dependent on total funds raised, Jamie's Hope is able to adopt 5 - 8 of these families and provide the entire family with gifts for Christmas; something they would not be able to do on their own.
Every cancer patients' single Christmas wish is to be cancer free and Jamie's Hope is working hard to help make this wish come true. Until then, they will strive to bring a little joy and happiness to the Angel Tree families, hoping that maybe for just a moment, they can forget what they're going through.
Up to 100 supporters will join together to support such a heart-warming cause. The happy hour event will include complimentary hors d'oeuvres & the Palm Refresh signature cocktails, provided by the Palm Restaurant. The evening will entail door prizes, ugly sweater contest & a silent auction. Thanksgiving Day marks the final day to secure discounted pre-sale admission tickets for a donation of $25.00 each. The new Angel Tree Mission video, produced by KHOU's Scott Yun, features Jeff Christie whose wife, Jennifer Christie, passed this February after a long, hard battle with Melanoma. The Christie family, included their four-year old son, Zachary, was one of the Angel Tree recipients last year. Jamie's Hope was honored to have been able to be a part of their final Christmas together.
