The Jandy Ammons Foundation Seeks Applications for Community Project Grants
Wake Forest, NC (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- The Jandy Ammons Foundation is accepting Letters of Inquiry from non-profit organizations seeking funding for 2015 projects. The Triangle-based, family foundation distributes grants that improve local communities through innovative, project-driven endeavors designed to enhance wildlife habitats, park settings, educational surroundings, artistic installations or Christian church mission projects. Letters will be accepted until May 2, 2014.
The Letter of Inquiry phase is the first step in The Jandy Ammons Foundation application process. Letters are reviewed for alignment with the Foundation’s program guidelines and goals as well as the likely results of the project being funded. Then, a select group receive letters of invitation to provide a full grant proposal.
“Non-profits fuel a community’s growth and education,” says Jan Ammons, The Jandy Ammons Foundation co-founder and president and longtime community volunteer. “Our goal is to partner with organizations that have a great project concept, but need financial assistance to make it a reality. This two-step application process allows us to efficiently identify those organizations that align with our goals and then dig deeper into how they will make a difference in their community.”
The first round of grants from The Jandy Ammons Foundation were awarded earlier this year to five Triangle-based non-profits that collectively cultivate fresh produce, active lifestyles and wildlife habitats.
