The Katyl Agency Partners with Alex’s Lemonade Stand in Scranton Area Charity Drive to Raise Support for Cancer Research
DUNMORE, Pa. (PRWEB) October 19, 2017 -- The Katyl Agency, a privately owned firm offering insurance and financial preparation services to residents of the greater Scranton area, is joining forces with Alex’s Lemonade Stand in a grassroots charity drive to help promote cancer awareness and raise money for research into cures and treatments for pediatric cancer.
Originally founded by a four year old girl diagnosed with cancer, Alex’s Lemonade Stand has now grown into a nationwide charity that has raised more than $140 million toward fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure, funding over 690 research projects nationally. Alex passed away from cancer at the age of 8, but her dream of finding a cure for cancer lives on.
“We were moved by Alex’s story and want to contribute to this mission in every way that we can,” says Joshua Katyl, owner and principal agent of the Katyl Agency.
Katyl and his team are taking to the Internet to help promote the three month long charity event, and have begun connecting with local families and health care practitioners over email and social media platforms.
