The League for Innovation Announces That Community College Research Center Senior Research Associate Davis Jenkins to Keynote Learning Summit 2015
Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) April 20, 2015 -- Davis Jenkins, senior research associate at the Community College Research Center (CCRC) at Columbia University’s Teachers College, will provide the keynote address at the 2015 Learning Summit in Phoenix, Arizona, June 7-10, according to the League for Innovation in the Community College. Jenkins works with colleges and states to find ways to improve educational and employment outcomes for students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. His research and thinking have informed the development and spread of innovative approaches to improving student outcomes including career pathways, adult technical bridge programs, and guided pathways to success. Jenkins is also the co-author of a forthcoming book, Redesigning America’s Colleges: A Clearer Path to Student Success, which is based on CCRC’s research on redesigning community colleges to improve student success.
The Learning Summit is a working retreat for college teams to connect with colleagues and to share experiences, discuss issues, and explore strategies for overcoming obstacles and meeting challenges related to learning. Participants examine effective practices in five topic areas that are the focus of the program:
